Tuesday Picks

Ok, since I whiffed on the Non-Hockey games ill just stick with Hockey Tonight.

I like,

- Washington to win at home vs. the Boston Bruins
- Calgary to beat Nashville in Nashville
- Vancouver to beat Minnesota in Minny

I like Washington because their home form is just too solid, Calgary and Vancouver seem to own their opponents tonight based on past results.

We'll see how this goes..

Monday Picks

In Hockey, I like the Blackhawks and Penguins to win at home. The Pens should finally get a win in their new building while the 'hawks are just better than the Blues.

For baseball, I'm gonna go with the Yankees to beat Cliff Lee and the Ranger because you do not make Andy Pettitte a home underdog and have him lose the game.

Finally, in MNF I like the Jaguars +3 at home vs. the Titans as the Titans have enough inconsistencies that will be exploited tonight.

Happy Betting people!

ALCS and NLCS

If I had to pick the results of both series I would pick the Rangers and Giants just because I like the underdog. But to be realistic I see the Yankees winning in 5 games and the Phillies winning in 6 games. The only x-factor I could think of Texas bringing Cliff Lee back on 3 days rest to pitch game two and that way make him possibly available for game 5. The Phillies may struggle against dominant pitching but they have very dominating pitching themselves. It just comes down to the fact the Phillies are never out of a game when down and the Giants don't often come back when down.

So I am looking for a rematch of last year's World Series.

Rangers-Rays Game 5

So tomorrow is game 5 of the ALDS between the Texas Rangers and Tampa Bay Rays. The pitching matchup if a rematch of the Game 1 starters Cliff Lee and David Price. Cliff Lee improved his remarkable postseason record to 5-0 with a WHIP of 0.8. David Price meanwhile struggled in his first postseason start in taking the lost.

After falling down 0-2 by losing both games at home, the Rays showed some character by winning two in Arlington to bring the series to a decisive 5th game. The Rangers have never won a playoff series before while the Rays have won 2 series including a decisive game 7 two years ago against the Boston Red Sox.

The Rays are a slight -114 favorite and in all honesty probably the better team. However, I do not like to pick against Pitchers that have a proven track record when it matters most so I am going to have to go with Cliff Lee and Rangers to advance to the ALCS.
